Prior to joining Kura, Thomas supervised over 25 exploration projects in Northern-Central Chile, Papua New Guinea and Mongolia with Anglo American. His expertise in hydrothermal and Cu (Mo – Au) porphyry related systems allowed him to advice on exploration strategies in South America, Africa and Oceania. Thomas holds Honours Degree in Geology from Universidad de Concepción, Chile and an MBA Global Management from Macquarie University (Australia) & Universidad de Chile (Chile).

Prior to joining Kura, Alvaro was the In-House Counsel for Freeport-McMoRan Inc. and Lundin Mining Corp. mining operations in Chile, to later join as an associate at the Energy, Mining and Natural Resources Group of Philippi, Prietocarrizosa, Ferrero DU & Uría Law Firm. He had also collaborated with the Projects, Energy and Natural Resources Group of King & Wood Mallesons, Australia. Alvaro holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Universidad de los Andes, Chile, and LL.M. from the University of Queensland, Australia.
